This Privacy Policy explains how DC1 ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit dc1.world or use our services. We aim to be transparent about the limited data we handle and to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
DC1 is a service operated from the Netherlands. For questions about this policy or your data, contact privacy@dc1.world.
We process personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract (providing the service you sign in to), legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and functional), consent (where specifically requested), and compliance with legal obligations.
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the service. These include cloud infrastructure and email delivery providers (Amazon Web Services, in the EU region), application error monitoring (Sentry), and AI processing for certain features (Google). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards, and only to the extent required to deliver the service.
Our primary infrastructure is located in the European Union. Where data is transferred outside the EU, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@dc1.world.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, and misuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we continuously work to improve our safeguards.
The service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by a more prominent notice.
